SAPNA (South Australian Perioperative Nurses Association) is the professional nursing body that represents Perioperative Nurses and Nursing in South Australia.

SAPNA is a member of ACORN (Australian College of Operating Room Nurses - representing perioperative nursing in Australia).   SAPNA members are therefore also members of the ACORN college, and may include the official postnumerals of MACORN after their name.

The mission of SAPNA is to develop and promote perioperative nurses and nursing in SA.
SAPNA believes that all perioperative nurses should be involved in the professional development of perioperative practice and patient care, and should therefore be members of their professional organisation - SAPNA.

Journal
All SAPNA members receive the quarterly ACORN Journal which contains not only refereed articles, but also the latest updates and reports from SAPNA and other State Perioperative Nursing Groups.  There is a new section CLINICAL TIPS, and of course there is always plenty of information about Nursing professional issues in Australia and ACORN activities.
